Information We Collect

We collect no personal data. Brussels Food Map:

Does not use cookies
Does not use third-party analytics or tracking
Does not store any user-identifiable data

Location Data

Brussels Food Map offers an optional "Find me" feature that uses your device's GPS:

Opt-in only: Location is only accessed when you tap the GPS button
Browser-controlled: Your browser will ask for permission before sharing location
Not stored: Your location is never sent to our servers or stored anywhere
Local only: Location data stays entirely in your browser to show your position on the map
Easily disabled: Tap the GPS button again to remove your location marker

Page View Counter

We maintain a simple page view counter that stores only daily totals (e.g., "January 25: 142 views"). This counter:

Does not identify individual users
Does not use cookies or browser fingerprinting
Does not track which pages you visit or what you click
Only counts total visits per day

Server Logs

Our hosting provider (Railway) may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request times) for operational purposes. We do not access or analyze these logs.

Data Sources

Restaurant information displayed on Brussels Food Map is derived from publicly available data sources.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

OpenStreetMap: For map tiles and display
Railway: For hosting our application

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is no personal information to access, modify, or delete. If you have questions about your data, please contact us.
